What is a Revocable Living Trust?

A legal document established during a person’s lifetime that specifies how their property will be managed before and after their death.  When this type of trust has been established, the grantor can retain control of assets while he or she is alive and well. A living trust also provides a plan for how those assets are to be distributed after his or her passing.
